IP/Domain Analysis: What You Can Look Up
Three lookups in one page:
- 🌍 IP Geolocation: country, region, city, ISP, AS number and organisation, timezone, and coordinates — as reported by the geolocation provider, so accuracy is typically city-level and varies from address to address
- 🔗 Domain to IP: resolve a domain to the IP addresses it currently answers with, then look up any one of them
- 📜 Whois: registration data as published by the registry — registrar, key dates, name servers and contacts, to the extent the registry returns them. The exact field set differs by top-level domain

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this page send my IP address anywhere?
- Yes. On load the page sends your own public IP to this site's own API, which forwards it to a third-party geolocation service to look up the details. That is unavoidable — the whole point of the page is to identify an address — but it does mean the usual "nothing leaves your browser, works offline" claim would be false here, and this page does not make it.
- What does a domain lookup actually return?
- The A record, meaning the IPv4 address the domain points to, and then the geolocation for that address. It does not query AAAA, MX, TXT, NS or CNAME records, so this is not a full DNS lookup tool — if you need the mail or nameserver records for a domain, use a dedicated DNS query service.
- How accurate is the location shown?
- It is the approximate location the geolocation database associates with the address, typically at city level or coarser. It is not the physical position of the device and it has no relation to GPS. If the address is a VPN, a proxy, a mobile carrier gateway or a corporate egress point, the location will be where that infrastructure sits rather than where the person is.
- Can I use it to find out who a visitor really is?
- No. An IP address identifies a network connection at a point in time, not a person. Dynamic addressing, shared connections and carrier-grade NAT mean one address can serve many people and change hands, so nothing here should be treated as identifying an individual.
